I started my professional baking career at a historic hotel in Jackson, NH where I was able to create breads, desserts, buffets, cakes, and treats to a whole lot of people every week. Next I was able to move on to a fine dining property where we scored high points in major travel magazines. When the chef decided to move on after a couple of years, I did too. I was able to work as part of a large culinary team in a fully scratch baking operation in a hotel that served 6 restaurants including a Four Diamond Dining room and an exclusive dining experience that included white glove service.
Eventually I went on to start Vintage Baking Company, an artisan scratch bakery, in Glen, NH. We opened the doors to the bakery in 2010 and I am still a co-owner. I also teach Pastry Arts for Lakes Region Community College.
I started L. Somerville Confections as a way to create a boutique experience with weddings and special events. Everything created for my events is unique, made from scratch with with highest quality of ingredients.
